Materials:
  • Brown oven-bake modelling clay.
  • Christmas cookie cutters
  • Aluminium foil
  • Waxed paper
  • Acrylic paints and brushes
  • Gold cord or ribbon
  • Toothpicks
Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
  2. Place brown clay between two sheets of waxed paper and roll out to 1/4 thickness.
  3. Use cookie cutters to cut desired shapes out of clay. You can also use our basic Christmas shapes. Print them, cut them out, place them on clay and trace their outline with a toothpick or sharp knife. Cut out shapes with a sharp knife.
  4. Transfer shapes to an cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  5. Make a small hole in each shape, near the top, with a toothpick.
  6. Bake the shapes for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and cool thoroughly on a cooking rack.
  7. Use acrylic paints to decorate your ornaments. Apply in thick layers and let each color dry before adding the next color.
  8. Use gold cord or ribbon to hang the ornaments.
