Christmas Glass Hurricane Lamps
Glass hurricane lamps with candles add a glow to a holiday table, especially when they’re decorated with a holiday motif. You can find these lamps, which are quite inexpensive, in various sizes in home centers. The lamp that I made sports a design of a red bow, holly leaves, and berries.

Materials:
  • Red, green, and black water-soluble markers
  • Glass hurricane lamps
  • Tracing paper
  • Tape
Instructions:
  1. You can use any design of your choice. Trace the complete design on tracing paper .
  2. Make a slit at the top and bottom of the tracing paper and tape the paper in position inside the hurricane lamp. The slits help the paper conform to the shape of the lamp.
  3. Place one hand inside the lamp and press the tracing paper against the glass. Use the other hand to fill in the color of each design element.
  4. The bow and berries are red, and the leaves are green. The markers are easy to apply on the glass, and you can easily remove the ink with a damp cloth if you make an error.
  5. When the leaves are dry, use the black marker to draw a line down the center of each leaf as indicated on the tracing.
