| Paper Bag Ornaments |
Materials:
- Paper bags or other brown paper
- Christmas print (or solid red/green) fabric scraps
- Fusible web
- Iron, scissors, pencil
- Hot glue gun
- Ribbon
Instructions:
- Choose a shape (or several shapes) for your ornament. Trace around a cookie
cutter, use a shape from a craft pattern or print
out our basic Christmas shapes.
- You'll need to create each shape in two sizes. The first size should be the size you want for your finished ornament. The second size should be 1/4" to 1/2" smaller than the first. To create the second size, simply trace one the first size onto a piece of paper and then trim it down with a pair of scissors (it doesn't have to be perfectly trimmed).
- Trace the larger of the patterns onto a piece of brown paper and cut out.
- Trace the smaller of the patterns onto a piece of Christmas print fabric and onto a piece of fusible web and cut both out.
- Use the iron and follow manufacturer's directions for the fusible web to iron the fabric cutout onto the paper cutout.
- Attach a loop of ribbon to the back of your ornament for hanging.
- You can use the hot glue gun to attach a small bow to the ornament, if you wish.
