| Pine Cone Magnet |
Materials:
- 12 Wooden Spoons,(Icecream cup spoons)
- craft glue
- beige craft ribbon, 2" wide
- 14" length cream coloured baby's breath or similar dried flower
- acrylic craft paint: brown, black
- clear acrylic spray
- chunky magnet, medium size
- scissors
- paper towels
Instructions
- Position two spoons overlapping one to create the bottom of the pine
cone. Continue gluing layers of spoons on top of one anther
- With the last three spoons, use scissors to cut the handles off, rounding
the edges. Glue spoons in place. Allow to dry.
- Paint both sides of the pine cone brown. When dry, thin black paint
with water and brush on going against the spoons so that stain goes
into the cracks. Rub excess stain off by rubbing down with paper towel.
Allow stain to remain in cracks. Allow to dry.
- Spray several light coats of clear acrylic
Fold
bow from 2" wide, 12" length craft ribbon. Fold 2" lenght ribbon in
half and wrap around center of bow, gluing ends at back.
- Glue bow to pine cone top. Insert and glue sprigs of dried florals
into bow. Glue magnet on back.
