Instructions:
Cut a 4"-6" circle on the face of the card, making sure to enclose the
main part of the picture. With a paper punch, go around the edge, making
holes about 1/4" apart. Then, using either white cotton crochet thread,
or Christmas colored, double-crochet, single chain in each hole. Start
at the top, leaving a "tail" of about 6". Go all around the circle, and
end at the top again. Tie off the end with the other "tail" to make a
loop for hanging.
Sometimes, your cards will be printed on both sides, so placing them
over a doorway so they can be seen on both sides is nice. Otherwise,
I write this verse on the back side:
This card was sent to us one year,
To wish our family some Christmas cheer.
It's recycled now, which means so much
To save the earth, and keep in touch.
Bring it out next year, to show you care
Then make a card that you can share.
Then I sign it, and date it. I use these for the cards I send out, and
people always comment on how thoughtful it is.
